NiselMedia publishes product research for readers in the United Kingdom. We buy most of what we test, and we say so when we do not.
How we work
Each guide starts with a shortlist built from retailer availability, reader questions and long-term reliability reports. We then use the products for weeks rather than hours, in the conditions people actually live with: draughty flats, packed trains, shared offices.
Scores reflect value at the price we saw in UK retailers, not the manufacturer's list price. When a cheaper product is good enough, we say so plainly, even when the more expensive option would pay us more.
How we make money
We earn commission when readers buy through some of our links. That commission is paid by the retailer, never by you, and it has no influence over which products we recommend or the order they appear in. Editorial decisions are made before any affiliate programme is considered.
