We tracked gas usage across three UK homes before and after installing smart controls.
Savings are real but modest; zoned radiator valves do the heavy lifting.

Consumption was recorded from smart meter data over matched weather periods so the comparison held up against temperature swings.
A single smart thermostat trimmed usage by a few percent. Adding room-level valves to unused rooms produced the meaningful reduction.
Check boiler compatibility before ordering. Two systems needed an additional receiver that was not included in the headline price.
